Who is this new athlete?

Johan Smit , also commonly known as the black and white runner due to his signature black and white outfits, has changed the game for all athletes. Born on 14 June 2005 in Limpopo Polokwane and now lives in Gauteng Pretoria.

An Interview with Johan gave us a little bit of a back story

Back in 2015 the start of his running career Johan revealed that he fell in love with running his first day on the track. "It felt like I could finally breath, even if I was tired" Soon after that he quickly moved up the ranks and became a well known athlete in Limpopo Province.

His new start in Pretoria

When Johan moved from Polokwane to Pretoria to start a new life in the City, he got the opportunity to run at Run Walk For Life with some of South Africa's best athletes.

Who is his trainer?

Corlia Ludick, a long time trainer who has been working alongside RWFL for nearly 20 years has been training Johan for 4 years now. She was an athlete back in 1980 and has some of her own records set for RWFL. After she retired as a full time Athlete at the age of 27. She decided to become a teacher and a trainer.

What is he up to now?

Johan recently got invited to start running international. On Saterday 26 August Johan and his Coach will both be flying to The United States for an international competition. Unfortunately for as Johan is still a student , all of his Record exams has been put on hold. This race will determine if Johan has a chance to complete with the worlds best athletes.
